 Basic Branding and Marketing

Instructor: Audrey Shaffer

(Class limited to 5 participants)

Next Workshop in spring 2008

Platform? Brand? Marketing?

What are you talking about?

If no one knows about you, you won't have sales. Plain and simple. The time to get your name known is before you have something to sell.

Once your book comes out, you don't have much time to get it into the hands of buyers. Most traditionally published books are on the shelves three months or less. You need to have your platform established and buyers ready and waiting.

How do you do that?

By branding and marketing yourself.

If you self- or e-publish, you have a longer sales life. But ALL the promotional efforts are on your shoulders. When your book is released, it's a bit late to start promoting. You need to be known, long before you have anything to sell.

Find your brand and make it happen!

Workshop runs for 4 weeks.

Week 1: What branding is, and how it works.

Week 2: Creating a blog and learning how to use it for promotion.

Week 3: Building a website, and learning to use it.

Week 4: Networking to expand your reach. Creating a marketing plan.

Price: $30.00

Each student will start a blog and a website during the workshop. Blogs are free. You can choose a free website or paid one, your choice.

Audrey will work with each student, one on one, to help them get the most out of this course.

The workshop will be run in a private thread on our forum. That means the course will be open 24/7 for the entire four weeks. Lessons will be posted, and each student can work at their own pace and at the time most suitable for them. You must sign up at the forum before the course starts.

Who is Audrey Shaffer? Other than the owner of this website...visit Google and find out. (She's not the doctor or the woman from Madaba Plains.)
