Hi,
I am submitting hopefully my last query - fingers and everything else crossed here - for critiquing.
Critique ...funny word. You know when you see aword and it just doesn't look right ...well thats one of them.Any way back to the query. Here goes. Any feedback is appreciated. Please :)

Dear
Forgotten veils

In a terrifying and troubled parallel world, where skin walkers war against the ruling soul feeders, one very special and gifted young man holds the fate of all humanity within his hands. When David Toran takes on the mantle of protector of the veils, he discovers that his world - our world - is threatened by the secret plans of the new ruling Lord of the Anastaci, Shaheen. With the help of his Friend Aurisha, his fellow elementals, Aggie, Derwin and Fran, and a group of unlikely allies at his side, David embarks on a perilous journey that will take him and his friends to the very limits of their courage, and back again.

At 71,000 words, I believe it will appeal to mainstream fantasy readers, lustful teenagers and hopeless romantics, as well as those who enjoy, quite simply, a good story. Those who like this genre of story would also be readers of authors such as Stephanie Meyers, Roger Zelazny and Ilona Andrews to name but a few.
I also have outlines for a potential sequel.

I am prepared to send you a few chapters, or the entire manuscript, and synopsis of Forgotten Veils at your request.
Please feel free to contact me using the enclosed SASE or via email.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely

Mandy McConville

I do believe you've got it! Mandy, this is good. Short and sweet and all the info is there.

You're ready. Now get out your list of researched agents and start submitting.

Good luck! Keep us posted. :)

You already sound like a professional that's done her homework.
Note, I am a new writer, 90% finished with my autobiography.
Some of the things I have been running into:

1. Not our niche, a little too controversial, no new projects, no new writers

2. Self publishing is the only way to go

3. I need a sponsor or find a notable author to help open new doors

4. I used a format "How to Write a Professioanl Query Letter", sent out over a
100, finally got one agent potentially interested

5. Subsidy publishers and agents now hounding me.. I know most are predators
Thanks for your thoughts and good luck...
John

How do you create a new post on here from scratch?

Dear Mandy,

Unfortunately, our adult fiction list is very specific at the moment, and we are only reviewing more on an extremely limited basis at this time due to our current list’s needs and how we are trying to develop that list.
I do regret to tell you this, as your work sounds compelling; however, I’m sure you will have no troubles finding an agent to represent your work.
We wish you all the best with your publishing endeavors.

Regards,

Gretchen

Congratulations Mandy! Rejections show that you are trying. Nearly every published author out there collected dozens, sometimes hundreds, of rejections before being published. It's part of the job.

Keep working on it, keep submitting, and eventually you'll make it. The persistant writer is the published writer. :)
